SAW Local: Call to Gainesville Artists to table at UF GCO Annual Conference

The Sequential Artists Workshop (SAW) is excited to announce a new opportunity for comics and zine lovers to come together to share their wares at an afternoon tabling event during the UF Graduate Comics Organization annual conference.

When: Saturday April 6, 2024 from 3.30PM to 5PM (set up from 3PM)

Where: In person only at the University of Florida Gainesville Campus (exact location to be confirmed)

Who: Everyone is welcome to table and attend. Spread the word! You do not have to be an existing member of SAW or connect to the UF English Department or GCO to participate. We welcome anyone working across comics, storytelling and visual art to share their printed matter.   

Price: Free to table and free admissions to the public on the day

This event is a part of the University of Florida English Department Graduate Comics Organization Annual Conference. This year the conference is being held Friday April 5 to Sunday April 7, 2024. The theme is "Ink and Imagination: Exploring Children's Comics" and will feature academic panels, workshops and keynote addresses by Andre Frattino and Alison Halsall.

Sponsored by the UF English Department, the Dotort Foundation Fund for Comics Studies, and the Baldwin Library of Historical Children's Literature.
