Artist and environmental activist, Margaret Tolbert, will lead a workshop on the springs and the aquifer eco-system. You’ll get pointers for drawing on location, and for capturing the natural beauty of the Florida springs.

Join Margaret underwater for snorkeling and sketching. That's right, you'll draw underwater!

Be ready for some inspiring encounters with aquatic plants and creatures at Salt Springs and Silver Glen Springs.

Cut-ups and Spills: Experiments in Making Abstract Comics with Erin Curry

This is a playful one day workshop based on expanding your visual vocabulary with found and traditional materials. We’ll use the magic of panels and repetition to establish tone and rhythm within your comics to evoke topics and subjects you care about. Bring interesting scraps of paper and odd objects to make interesting marks.

TEEN / TWEEN CLASS,
JANUARY 19 - FEBRUARY 23!

In this 6-week comics-making class, we'll build basic comics creation skills through exercises and short projects.  Students will learn cartooning techniques and tools, design their own characters, practice drawing action, backgrounds and objects, and explore how to tell great stories in comics form. This is a fun, fast-paced, hands-on creative learning experience designed especially for teens and tweens. Limit 16 students.  Click here for more info
