Call for Art in Gainesville! saw X Pulp Arts x Found Sound Nation Zine

Call for artist

Gathering Scores: A Learning Library is a publishing project in collaboration with UF's Center for Arts, Migration and Entrepreneurship, Pulp Arts, and Found Sound Nation, that unfolds through a three-part, 90-minute conversation series centered on the theme of Creative Ecosystem Building. We’re seeking a Gainesville-based artist to co-create a collaborative zine as both a mirror and an artifact - reflecting the voices, ideas, and creative expressions shared during each session—preserving the collective learning that emerges.

Each session will blend guided dialogue with real-time zine-making, creating a participatory environment where storytelling, note-taking, drawing, and creative documentation become shared acts of meaning-making. The selected artist will play a central role as illustrator, co-curator, and interpreter, gathering and weaving together fragments from the conversations—quotes, sketches, metaphors, and musings—into a living, evolving publication.

The final zine will serve as a tangible map of our exploration, weaving together voices from Gainesville, across the U.S., and around the world to offer insight into what it means to build and sustain creative ecosystems—locally and globally.
