Making Sketchbooks from Scratch!

Get hands-on and crafty with us at SAW! This is a workshop led by SAW alum Elli Rhodes!
Participants will learn how to create their own sketchbook using a variety of materials—perfect for comics, journaling, or daily doodles. Bring your own decorative paper if you'd like to personalize your creation even more!
Artists of all levels welcome!

Pay What You Can between $10-$50. Choose the amount that work best for you. Price is set to $10 when booking.

When, Where, & Who?
—-> When: Saturday September 6, 2025 from 4 PM to 7 PM.
—-> Where: In-person at 1314 S Main St, Gainesville, FL.
—-> Who: Artists of all levels interested in comics! Limited to 40 participants per session.
What You’ll Learn and What You’ll Need
We’ll provide all the basic materials, but feel free to bring extras to personalize your book!
Provided:
Paper (for inside pages and covers)
Glue, scissors, and cutting tools
Optional (Bring Your Own):
Decorative paper, washi tape, stickers, or old art to use as a cover
A ruler or bone folder if you have one (not required)
Your favorite pens or stamps for embellishing
Whether you're a total beginner or have made zines before, this is a fun, low-pressure way to make a sketchbook that suits your unique style.
Class size is limited to 15 participants. Subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment isn’t met.
