DCAZ 2026 was one for the books. SAW got a ton of attention since we were right by the entrance of the CoRK Arts District in Jacksonville. We sold lots of our instructional zines about lettering, graphic novel making, and especially our fundraiser zine: Piss Off Python.
Present from SAW Local were: Reagan Nolte, Maria Cruz, Eric Wolfgang, Elli Rhodes, Autumn, Grim, Maren, Kiki, Barry Sawicki, Ross Cortez, and all our Jax friends. We want to especially thank Thony Aiuppy, Dan Waile, and Andy Kozlowski. Every time we go to DCAZ, we feel like kings!!!
Lots of folks were interested in the online programming, but we talked up our annual zine fest here in Gainesville, our live comic reading events, and our monthly junk journaling club.
A yearlong alum, Olivia Onate, was present as well, peep the selfie!

That’s why we highlight artists from the Pacific Northwest and around the world who make alternative comix and self-published, small press, and handmade books of all kinds. We want to ensure that Seattle is considered a destination for small press artists, and a percolator of comics genius.
