DCAZ 2026 was one for the books. SAW got a ton of attention since we were right by the entrance of the CoRK Arts District in Jacksonville. We sold lots of our instructional zines about lettering, graphic novel making, and especially our fundraiser zine: Piss Off Python.

Present from SAW Local were: Reagan Nolte, Maria Cruz, Eric Wolfgang, Elli Rhodes, Autumn, Grim, Maren, Kiki, Barry Sawicki, Ross Cortez, and all our Jax friends. We want to especially thank Thony Aiuppy, Dan Waile, and Andy Kozlowski. Every time we go to DCAZ, we feel like kings!!! 

Lots of folks were interested in the online programming, but we talked up our annual zine fest here in Gainesville, our live comic reading events, and our monthly junk journaling club. 

A yearlong alum, Olivia Onate, was present as well, peep the selfie!

The Small Press Expo (SPX) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit created in 1994 to promote artists and publishers who produce independent comics. SPX hosts an annual festival that provides a forum for artists, writers and publishers of comic art in its various forms to present to the public comic art not accessible through normal commercial channels.

The Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo (MICE) is the New England area’s premiere event dedicated to the exciting and accessible art form of independent comics and graphic novels. Located at Boston University's School of Visual Arts, admission is free and open to the public.
