Level Up Your Comics This Summer!
Our annual Teen Summer Camp at SAW is back—two dynamic weeks designed to fuel artistic growth through the world of comics! Whether your teen is an aspiring cartoonist or just loves to draw and tell stories, this immersive, hands-on camp is the perfect place for them explore their voice and expand their narrative skills.
Sign your teen up for one week or both—no prior experience necessary.
Flexible Payment Options
We understand that every family's budget is different, so we offer a Pay What You Can model:
Pay What You Can $150–$300 per week. Choose the week that work best for you and your teen or sign up for both!
You can also select multiple amounts if you’d like to donate extra to help us support our mission!
When, Where, & Who?

Week One: Monday-Friday, June 16-June 20, 2025*
Week Two: Monday-Friday, June 23-June 27, 2025*
*Break for lunch at 1PM. Lunch not provided.
—-> Where: In-person at 1314 S Main St, Gainesville, FL.
—-> Who: Teens interested in comics! Ages 11-16. Limited to 17 participants per session.
Instructor, Lindsay Taylor
about the Instructor
Lindsay Taylor is a comic writer, artist, colorist, and scholar with a BFA in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design School of Visual Communications.
Lindsay loves working on stories featuring complex characters and nuanced themes. Her favorite aspects of the comic making process are writing and coloring. She also deeply enjoys studying comics and sequential art through the lens of scholarship and has contributed to several zines, including Gordon Magazine, a scholarly comics zine. Her creative and professional goals are to work as a graphic novelist or colorist for comics. She is also very interested in teaching comics to the next generation of up-and-coming artists.
How to Sign Up
Choose Week One, Week Two, or both—whatever fits your teen’s schedule. You will receive an email upon registration with a link to a mandatory emergency contact form. Please be sure to fill that form out!
