Join K’s Krakens…

Keep your comics practice strong with this ongoing mentorship group led by graphic novelist K. Woodman-Maynard. K’s Krakens is a warm, supportive group for cartoonists and graphic novelists who want to stay connected and keep growing in their comic-making. Through biweekly sessions, personalized feedback, and shared accountability, we’ll focus on building creative momentum, deepening storytelling craft, and developing sustainable habits that help you keep making the comics only you can create.

What’s included:

  • Biweekly mentorship calls every other Thursday 6:30-8:30 pm EDT for feedback, discussion, and creative support

  • A dedicated space in The Mighty Network to share work-in-progress, ask questions, and connect between calls

  • Ongoing responses from K. in the Mighty Network for feedback and encouragement

  • A welcoming, growth-oriented environment that helps you stay creative, organized, and inspired

Live calls with K., every other Thursday, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm EASTERN / 3:30 pm - 5:30 Pacific

  • K. Woodman-Maynard

    K. is a watercolor graphic novelist and comics coach. She’s the creator of The Great Gatsby: The Graphic Novel (Candlewick Press) and Tuck Everlasting: The Graphic Novel (FSG/Macmillan). Through her teaching and mentorship, she helps comic creators find clarity and build momentum to tell the stories that matter to them.
