Duck Pond neighbors share 'Best' spotlight

 

Tom Hart, his wife, Leela Corman, and Erin Curry attend a book signing in 2012. Hart, director and co-founder of the Sequential Artists Workshop, was included in “The Best American Comics 2014” for his comic “RL.” Curry's abstract comic “Ambient Air” also was included.

Gainesville's Duck Pond neighborhood is known for its eclectic architecture, tree-lined streets and its territorial black swans.

Now there's another interesting fact about the historic neighborhood.

Comic artists Erin Curry and Tom Hart and author Lauren Groff, all of whom live on the same block in the Duck Pond neighborhood, are featured in the “Best American Series 2014,” released in October.
