Robyn Adams - 90s Mini-Comics Oral History Archives Project
Robyn Adams has been a working artist for over 25 years. While she predominately works in the animation industry, where she specializes in color design, background painting, and working in a wide variety of styles, she has also independently made her own comic books.
During the early 90s she created the three-issue comic series Homozone 5, inspired by her own coming out and involvement with the drag community at the time. She has also contributed to multiple comic anthologies and is currently working on a graphic novel adaptation of Doris Fish’s cult sci-fi movie Vegas in Space.
Robyn is also the creative director for the Louise Lawrence Transgender Archive and is even a fan of 1970s action figures and founded The Mego Museum, a website for fans of the toys! Currently she resides in Oakland, California, where she provides creative services for San Francisco Pride events.
